Very easy to grow from seed, Chicory is a slender perennial that are periwinkle blue in color and resemble daily petals. Chicory loves full sun in well drained soil, and can grow to a height of 4’ tall, making this an excellent show flower for your garden or focal point in your yard. Chicory’s long tap root is often used to make caffeine–free coffee substitutes. Seeds are packaged and germination tested for current year.

Chicory stems contain a white, milky sap that only appears when broken. The large blue flowers only remain on the plant for a single day. Chicory originated in Europe, and is now naturalized in North America.
